Madeleine Balliette is a first-year master’s student in the Education Policy program at Teachers College. She earned her undergraduate degree from McGill University in 2022, where she majored in anthropology and art history.
Before joining CCRC, Balliette worked as an elementary school teacher in Nashville, Tennessee, where she developed a deep passion for education. Her experiences in the classroom gave her firsthand insight into the challenges educators and students face, leading her to pursue a career in education policy. Her research interests include special education support, teacher advocacy, and educational access. She is especially interested in exploring how systemic reforms can create more inclusive learning environments for all students.
